When Brian Duckworth looks you in the eye and speaks, you can immediately sense his enormous passion for his music and how committed he is to achieving his goals. He's on a mission. The same mission he's been on since he was a young child out on the back porch of his home in West Virginia, assuming his place singing in the family choir, and one of 7 siblings raised by their very musical single mom. Brian and his siblings were so young when they started performing in church, Brian wasn't tall enough to reach the microphone, so the church ladies would take it off the stand and hold it for Brian and his siblings to sing for the congregation.

Brian Duckworth hails from Taylor County, West Virginia, and he's one third of the red hot country music group Taylor Made, along with his sister Wendy Williams and his brother, Greg Duckworth. When he's not on the road touring or in Nashville recording, he heads back home to West Virginia to be with his wife and sons. Brian's day job is working full time as a truck driver, driving a cement mixer and putting in long hours. I visited with Brian in the lounge of the Tracking Room Studio in Nashville while Taylor Made was in town for a photo shoot and recording their vocals for their upcoming single release "Good Love", (which I heard and guarantee you will love it!) due to hit the airwaves in the very near future, one of six new songs by Taylor Made.

A father of 3 boys, Brian can't help but start grinning and sitting forward in his chair, his great affection and love so obvious as he tells me about his wife and sons. Brian is as proud as a dad can be and he stresses the fact that they are his world. He talked about how they help keep him focused on his goals. He told me he went to work every day for his boys, so they can have a great life and be happy. His 6 year old already knows all his songs and can sing them in pitch and remember almost all the words! All 3 of his sons are talented with the oldest being a drummer, playing in the school band and talking about getting serious with his music too. It seems if your last name is Duckworth, you just can't help but be a singer because you come by it natural and it's how you are raised. Family is everything to Brian and his eyes shine when he talks about any of his family members.

Brian Duckworth is a musician who can play several instruments, in addition to being a fine singer, and a songwriter. When we spoke about his songwriting he got very serious, but at the same time so elated to be in Nashville and co-writing with veteran hit songwriters like Bobbie Fisher. Brian told me how blessed and honored he feels for the incredible opportunity and the experience gained by writing songs with such an accomplished and successful songwriter. As humble and as country as the day is long, Brian Duckworth is working hard to make sure the music of Taylor Made - the music of his family - gets heard and exposed worldwide. I think he's going to do it. I believe Taylor Made is going to do it and I think you will agree when you hear their new single, "Good Love" coming over your radio speakers.

Brian Duckworth and Taylor Made are about remembering where they come from, how they were raised up and who was doing the raisin'. They are intensely proud of their town, their county, their state, their country, and their family's standing in the community and in the church. Everything Taylor Made stands for is good and all about being there for your family and friends, dealing with whatever life and nature may bring while standing together strong as a family. Their love for each other, their deep faith, and their willingness to work hard for what they believe in, all comes through in the words of the songs they sing at their concerts. If you see that Taylor Made is playing somewhere, buy a ticket quick and tell all your friends too and you'll be glad you did. When you see Brian Duckworth, tell him I said hey. He's a really good guy and I'm sure he'd love to meet you too!
